The pregnant shape is simply beautiful for so many amazing reasons; now is the time to celebrate it with a pregnancy photo shoot!

Your shoot is a unique opportunity to create images that will mean so much more as time goes by. Enjoy them as a beautiful piece of art on your wall, or admire your album in private. Imagine pointing out to the toddler snuggling up to you that it is them inside Mummy’s tummy in the picture! Whichever option you choose, you’ll be so pleased you had the foresight to have a pregnancy photo shoot.

When to book
Call me when you reach around 20 weeks (or as early as you feel comfortable) and we can put a date in the calendar. To avoid disappointment I always advise early booking – we can always re-schedule if necessary.

The prime time to photograph your bump is around 34 weeks (28 weeks if you are expecting twins). If you have already reached 34 weeks don’t despair; I operate a very efficient waiting list and can generally accommodate you!

Your photo shoot
A typical photo shoot will last approximately two hours, with the images available for viewing within a few days*. As well as discussing ideas together on the phone, on the day of the shoot we will chat about any thoughts or ideas you have, and discuss how you can use the images afterwards. Albums are extremely popular, with a range of options to choose from. We can also provide an array of beautifully framed prints or canvases.

For pregnancy portraits, this may be the first time you have posed nude or semi nude. As you can see from the gallery all photographs of your pregnancy will be taken as discreetly as possible and I offer a range of fabrics to drape and flatter your shape. I suggest wearing loose clothing prior to the shoot, avoiding tight underclothing if possible. Hair and make-up is down to your own personal preference on the day. Don’t worry about stretch marks or blemishes, as these can be altered digitally.

*If your journey to the studio was long, we can point you in the direction of some wonderful local eateries and endeavor to have your images ready for viewing before you go home!
